Established in 2000, Alam Arts has opened their first art gallery in 2005 in the heart of Shah Alam, at SACC Mall. The art gallery is dedicated to supporting emerging and established Malaysian artists and those who made Malaysia their home.
The eclectic range of works available has made it a regular stop for both novice and serious collectors. Aside from holding their own exhibitions, the art gallery is invited to take part in exhibitions and craft fairs around the country.
Alam Arts is the only place you can obtain the works of Meriam Omar. A self-taught artist, Meriam Omar dabbled in a range of artistic endeavors for over two decades before finding her true calling in painting. Her subjects range from flowers to kampung scenes, all painted in vibrant hues. She is best known for her “Padi” and “Wild Grass” series which have made their way into the collections of Bank Negara and Wisma Putra.
